I get the feeling some people feel awkward around persons in wheelchairs and so refrain from helping them when they clearly need help. Sometimes they don’t want or need help. But I still lend a hand and take a complaint or two. For me, it’s better to help, even if I don’t always get gratitude.

I’ve been to Italy and I’ve been to Holland. (we have a typical developing daughter and a daughter with Down Syndrom). They are boh adults. Sometimes Italy is a much greater challenge. Each bring their particular joys and heartaches but I am so blessed that I was able to go to Holland. It is such a very special place and I still marvel at it’s beauty.

I haven’t read aloud to my son in a little while. When our dog died reading “The Lion the witch and the Wardrobe”, helped him through it.

He smiled when I read the part about Aslan coming back. I told him that our dog Hunter was with the angels and in different place. It was a hard time. He would cry and ask me to bring back his friend.

It was a tough time. I wasn’t always sure how to comfort him. I would read to him and snuggle and that seemed to give him the comfort he needed.

I can appreciate this article and accept the congratulations, because I am an engineer and I am creating some products for development. I have designed some awesome play therapy dolls. Now, I seek funding to create as many as I can to help those in need. As a single mom of two, and one who has had a violent, abusive upbringing, I am taking my strength and utilizing it. Does anyone know how or where i can get the help I need to find a factory. These dolls are incredible!

The SNL skit was intended to be witty ans at first was , But they took it too far. I buildpride-on products for vision impaired and they are the bravest souls I know .
99% of the people will never understand what it is like to lose your site or they would have rethought that skit !

These facts are all so very true and, especially the developmental benefits. Play increases brain activity which allows for learning on all levels and domains.
